"Yeah, me doing it alone will show the kids about team work..." Logan snarled for a second. "I didn't exactly mean it like that. I just think your rapport is a little better with the kids than mine." he said looking to her. "I think it'd be best if we all did a bit of everything, especially Cyke. Say what you want, the kids just got his head twisted half the time he sees Jean Grey." he said looking to her with a snicker at her joke at Roxy's joke. "Give him time to figure himself out. He doesn't know what he wants but you watch him, the only time he seems to have it together is when he's in that danger room." Logan had spent enough mornings in the Danger Room with him to notice. Cyclops work ethic set a standard he'd yet to really see equaled outside of himself.
"Flight class... must be convenient." Logan said with a hint of irritation. He couldn't fly, to boot he weighed nearly 500 pounds because of his metal skeleton but you get over these kinds of things pretty fast. "Professor's got me teaching Ethics..." Logan's smirk left his face at the mention, Logan. Typically was not an ethical person but he had his own suspicions for the Professors intent behind that decision.
"Its not really my code... I mean. This school. Its so different from anything I know." he said looking to her. Amnesia had its irrational scar on Logan's soul. He felt like only half a man. "Teachin at this school is about the only half-decent thing I've done in my life."

"Flight class... must be convenient." "Not really. I mean, it's nice, but I prefer to use it for levitating really. If I need to get somewhere, I'll walk or jog. It's better than way." she said with a sigh. "Professor's got me teaching Ethics..." Roxanne chuckled, covering her mouth quickly. "You? Teaching Ethics?" she asked. What could the professor be thinking? That if he teaches it, maybe he'll learn it? Like something like that could ever work. "Teachin at this school is about the only half-decent thing I've done in my life." Roxy got a more serious look on her face. "This is gonna sound so wrong..." she mumbled to herself.
"How can you say that if you don't remember EVERYTHING about your life? You may remember all the bad things you've done, but to judge yourself by those alone, when you don't have the entire story isn't right." Roxanne said, looking Logan in the eyes. He may enrage her at times, and he's arrogant as HELL, but he has his own past he has to deal with. No reason he has to dwell on it though.

Logan listened as she spoke about his attitude. She wasn't in his shoes, had the few memories that he did have and known the things he'd done. Maybe if she had a bit of perspective her judgment would be different but Logan didn't want to cry over spilled milk so he just listened to her. Arms crossed over his shoulders, in the back of Logan's mind he wished he had a cigar to smoke. "I know enough about my life to know I've done things that are wrong." That was vindication enough in Logan's eyes.
He started throwing his laundry into a dryer. Once he started the dryer he leaned back where he was standing previously, looking back at Roxy. "Don't think I've written myself off yet." he said looking at her. "I'm just still haven't got myself convinced that I'm cut out for this gig." he said looking to her. "I have conflicts with the staff, Chuck and I don't quite see eye to eye. I ain't exactly the favorite teacher around here." he said looking to her.
Logan's prerogatives were not exactly a mandate of manners. He was foul most of the time. He wanted these kids to be ready for anything, often seeing the danger without really even thinking about how the kids are perceiving this. He didn't quite think like most people, who considered certain factors. The parameters of Logan's mind were often around ending lives. Which is why he feels most comfortable in the moment. When time requires action, thats when Logan thrives.
Thats the kind of sense he wants the kids to have. A sense of knowing what they're capable of and acting to the best of that ability... But Logan didn't exactly have his feet set as far as teaching was concerned, nowhere close. "I'm kind of a novice at being an authority figure."

Roxy kept her mouth shut after Logan spoke. She had to constantly remind her that they had a truce, and that Logan and her both probably had some of the shortest tempers ever. Add in that Roxy's patience was quickly thinning, and she was about to lose her shit at any second. "I'm kind of a novice at being an authority figure."
"I hear that." she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "One second, I own a magic shop and live on my own, next I'm surrounded by people who don't listen to me, no matter what amount of 'authority' I have." she added, resting her chin on her open palm. "This place is an absolute good, but people are being thrown from one life into a brand new one, so tension tends to be high, until the newest kid gets settled, ya know?" Roxanne's eyes looked to the clock again. 45 minutes till flight class. Which meant Roxanne needed her clothes dry in 15 so she could be on location 30 before the class began. She sighed, mostly from anxiety, waiting for the class, seeing who would show up and who wouldn't. Her foot began tapping on the floor as the clock slowly ticked away.

"Things around here will get high strung from time to time. It's just the pace of the place." Logan, now waiting for his clothes to dry as well, found himself looking to Roxy as she clearly was waning on this whole small talk thing and the whole waiting around thing at the same time. Truth of the matter was that Logan was in the same boat. Roxy and Logan had more in common than either of them cared to realize and maybe it was part of the reason that they hadn't yet begun to 'vibe'. "The kids are scared when they get here." Logan was most likely a reason in that whole situation but he figured that things were alright.
"I was thinking about starting a meditation class for any of the students that were interested." He figured the change in topic might adjust Roxanne's mood. Maybe she'd be interested if it wasn't something she already practiced. "I think it's something that the kids could use. It will pretty much benefit anyone who joins it." He said smirking a bit. "I suckered Cyke into the idea in a heartbeat, I'm just interested to see how many of them actually show up. They will see my name next to the bill and not bother, it's why I'm makin' the class open as opposed to mandatory." Like his 5:30pm training session. Which he usually selects a roster of students to train the day of.
