It had been at least a week since her last run in with Logan. She had slammed him against a wall and decimeted his cigar, which she truthfully felt a little sorry about. But only a little. Since then they hadn't seen each other, thankfully so. Roxy imagines that their reuniting would be like a horribly made Shogun movie. She had just started her laundry about an hour ago when she realized her only clean clothes were some pajama pants and a sports bra. The first washed load was now in the dryer and a second load in the washer. She had at least 2 more sacks of laundry to do.
The Laundry room itself was vacant, save for her and a radio, blasting old rock music, from back when rock was ROCK. Currently, Pink Flloyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" was playing, specifically the song "Time" to which Roxanne was singing along with. Thank goodness she wasn't a bad singer or the sound sensetive mutants might have been brain dead and Terry would have insisted on giving her lessons.
Since the washer and dryer were both running, she sat atop the dryer, jamming out to her CD, expecting no one to be listening or anyone coming to do their own laundry in the other machines.

Logan didn't want to do laundry, he never looked forward to it and he always left it to the last absolute minute. He had all of his dirty clothes in a hemp sack that was hung over his shoulder. He knew that somebody he didn't want to be anywhere near long before he actually arrived but as that hemp sack hit the floor Logan looked at Roxy he snarled before outright feeling the urge to growl. He didn't but that was reserved for only one person usually.
"I hope you can share the laundry room..." he said looking to Roxy before opening another one of the washers, and dumping his clothes inside. Most of his clothes were still in the bag so he had a lot to do. Truth be told he hadn't really done much laundry since he arrived. It had been a while.
He turned the washer on and the sound of it filling with water overrode the room. Logan wasn't looking at her but he might as well have been. Part of him just wanted to ext the room. The last time they were in the close proximity the only thing Logan could think about was the fastest way to remove her heart from her chest... He wasn't so angry this go around but who knows how she was feeling, she'd been nothing but ruthless to him.

Roxanne swiveled around to see that it was Logan who had dropped the bag. He was glaring her down, and she glared back. ~Great, the shogun movie began already.~ she thought to herself as she broke the glaring contest with him and turned around, still sitting on the dryer. "I hope you can share the laundry room..."
His voice struck a cord in her and she turned around. "Sure, if you can tell me why you've been such a d!ck to me since the day I got here. Seriously," she started as she hopped down and turned, the line of washers and dryers between them. "...ever since that thing with the beer, you've been a royal pr!ck and, yeah I was a b!tch back. You didn't expect me to just lie there and TAKE IT, did you?!" Roxanne sighed, closing her eyes as she tried to calm herself down before she began yelling again. "Look, I'm sorry about the other day. Slamming you into the wall like THAT may have been a bit...much." she shrugged, looking away.
"But your just....I mean you REALLY are the literal example of what an not a very nice person is." she said, still angry, but less agressive than before and finally looking back at him, waiting for a response.

Logan looked at her as she was right where she left off before blast mode came into play, thankfully she seemed hellbent enough on keeping calm. It was good because Logan didn't feel like hurting anyone, especially a fellow instructor. Pouring some soap into the washing machine he looked at her. "I was out of line with the beer, that was a bad day. I think you'd understand what it's like to have a bad day, dont ya?" he said as he leaned on his washing machine, unwavering as he spoke to her straight up. There was no deception n his voice.
"Listen. I aint here to play nice, and make friends. I'm here to help the Professor. I'm here to help make sure these kids are capable of using their powers and that they can defend themselves. I don't know how on the level the Professor has been with you but there are some pretty radical threats on the other side. A lot of people around here are afraid of getting their hands dirty, but I'm not."
Folding his arms he looked at her. "Professor thinks that the shits about to hit the fan so I haven't had time to be polite and make sure I'm kissing everyone's ass, not that that's my style to begin with." He said looking to her. "But I'm sorry for being me. If you think I'm outta line, I'll try to be nicer."

"Sorry, Logan you aren't THAT special. The professor told me about 'the other side' too and I've heard rumors of whats going to be happening. Not mention I've got my own connections for information." she said, slightly c@cky about herself. she walked around to his side, sitting on one of the chairs. "I've been told to prepare the kids for whats coming but...HOW do you prepare for THAT? I mean....they're just kids, ya know?" she asked, leaning back with a sigh.
"As for the dirty hands, I haven't gotten mine deep into the dirt persay, but the professor knows I'm willing, if it's needed. Apparently not with you around." she scoffed while smiling. She crossed her legs, their length making up most of her overall height. There was an akward silence in the room before she spoke up again. "So, I guess this is a truce?" she asked, holding out her hand for a shake.

Iceman better known as Bobby Drake was waltzing around as if he held ownership of the mansion. Clutching onto his dirty clothes and rolling in on his newly recovered skateboard, the frosty teen made his way into the laundry room to find it already occupied. "Oh shit!" Announced in surprise as Robert realised that both of his tormentors aka teachers where in the room. Probably discussing ways in which to further humiliate and or demoralise the teen. His loud entrance was probably enough to get stern stares equalling trouble and possibly more trouble for cursing out loud and not to mention still skating in the hall ways.
Trying to step out of the mess he'd inadvertantly walked into, Bobby started back peddling. "Ah you guys finish, I'll come back later" The sixteen year old flipped his board up and caught it under his arm pit. He didn't really catch any of the conversation the two where having but it looked like ol lady Roxy had her hand out about to do some kind of attack on Logan. Drake certainly didn't want to be in the middle or get caught in the crossfire.
He turned to leave and dropped his skate board by his feet once he was out of sight. Sailing down the hall again in the opposite direction Bobby made a break for it.
((Thought I'd come in and interrupt a little))

"Sorry, Logan you aren't THAT special. The professor told me about 'the other side' too and I've heard rumors of whats going to be happening. Not mention I've got my own connections for information."
You've got connections? Logan thought to himself. She seemed connected alright, right to her temper and she didn't hesitate to utilize it. Maybe Logan wasn't giving her enough credit, maybe she was more than adequate to deal with what she was responsible for. Why did Logan look down at her, although he practically had to look up to her, for the way she acted.
He continued to listen to her talking about her responsibilities. How she'd never needed to 'get her hands dirty' but Logan felt especially like that was his responsibility. She sat down beside him and she held her hand out to him, asking for a truce. They sounded like mortal enemies that needed to end the strife between them for the greater good. Logan didn't mind the idea of the truce it was this whole sentiment of being nice that he was stubbornly absent from wrapping his head around. "Truce..." Logan repeated aloud for himself to hear.
It was just then that another visitor joined them. Bobby Drake, on a rare trip of responsibility probably didn't want anyone seeing him doing his own laundry. Once he saw that Logan and Roxy were in the same room he turned heel just about as quickly as one could. The sound of Drake's skateboard rolling down the hall was less obvious to Logan than the murky odor that the kids dirty clothes had been releasing. "Truce..." he shook her hand this time, looking into her eyes for a moment.
"So you gave Drake back his skateboard?" Logan had often thought of destroying it in ways that Drake could whitness, similar to that of torturing a sibling by destroying their belongings. Logan however hadn't quite been brought to that point. Roxy on the other hand, he wondered if she perpetually walked that line or not.

"So you gave Drake back his skateboard?"
"It's been over a week, and I told him he could have it back when the week is up." Roxanne said, glancing at the doorway which had previously been occupied by Bobby. "Then again, he IS skateboarding inside again..." she trailed off. Taking it away wasn't going to stop him obviously and breaking it might be too much...a smile came to her face as she thought of undoing the screws in the wheels so that next time he tried to skate indoors, he'd loose all the wheels, if he even got it to go far enough. Realizing she was daydreaming, she snapped out of it and turned to face Logan.
"Kids, eh? When will they EVER learn..."she sigh, standing up and walking over to her bag which was by her laundry cases. Out of it she pulled two beers which she had brought down from the fridge upstairs. Thankfully, they were still cold. She had planned on having them both herself, but it would be rude to just drink them in front of Logan (no matter how much she wanted to). "Think fast." she said, tossing the beer at Logan, the condensation trailing after it.

Logan watched her pull out a beer and a small part of him had wondered if she had taken it from his stash. She told him that she bought her own beer so with the issues of a previous day Logan knew he had nothing to get mad about. Had Logan remembered lessons from his mother as a child he would've remembered being taught to share for sure. Taking the beer he held it in his hand, not hesitating to split it open and take a large gulp. He liked beer, its goodness coated his esophagus as it digested, he sat the can back down as he continued to wait on his laundry. "Thanks... for the beer." he said realizing at first he wasn't really thanking her for anything.
Logan could see it in her eyes after she mentioned Drake, she got that feeling he probably felt whenever he was in a position to make one of those snot nosed kids pay for it. It sucked being an authority figure in a house full of rebellious little $#@!$. He watched Roxy for a moment, they were being civil and Logan didn't know what to do. They'd always had this stubborn animosity towards each other and that's what Logan had grown accustomed to but now they had this truce. That meant Logan had to go out of his way to be nice, the Professor would like that sure but to Logan it was like reading a book, a book he knew he'd really dislike and now he was bored. Thats how he felt with this whole Roxy scenario. It was a lot more fun when he got to pretend to be the 'bad guy'.
"So tell me something about you..." he said looking to her. "Since you seem to know everything about me, whats your story?" he asked her curiously. Logan was sure she had a story, his own story wasn't as interesting by weigh of he forgot some parts and it was kind of like reading that aforementioned boring novel, except this time a third of the pages are missing. Maybe Roxy's story was interesting, a hell of a lot better than Logan's which part of the time he spends wondering how much of it he's made up in his own mind to begin with.

"Since you seem to know everything about me, whats your story?"
Roxy coughed into her beer, sending her gulp down the wrong windpipe. "My Story? I don't know much of your story, only what was in Terrys file on you. Mine isn't all that fun either." she said, clearing her throat. "My dad is Royston 'Roy' Danemburg, the boxer. Well, retired Boxer. I grew up in Manhattan and used to own a magic shop. I did a lot of magic, all of which I did without my powers. It's AMAZING the tricks you can come up with, with the right materials that is." She said, crushing her beer can flat as if someone had stepped on it, then it vanished quickly from her hands. She reached behind her, grabbing the open can from the shelf above her head taking a swig of it with a smile.
"Other than that, there isn't much to say. Normalish childhood. No psychiatric problems or physical ailments." she added, getting up again to switch out her laundry. The clothes in the dryer weren't done yet, so Roxanne took the washing machine load and stuck it into another dryer before she added more clothes to the washing machine and started another rinse cycle.

As he listened to her story he had made assumptions that she came from a fairly normal home. Her father was a boxer, was probably a big factor into why Roxy was the way she was. "I wish I had a story to tell, cause to tell you the truth Roxy the furthest back memory I can think of is me, running through the forest, covered in blood. These things shooting from me. In the middle of a 'berzerker rage' I've come to call em..." he said with a bit of a reclusive tone, that was a place he didn't like to be.
"Eventually word of mouth lead me to Charles Xavier, who to the right people had a reputation of that beyond being a simple Doctor." Logan looked to Roxy before looking away, thinking about her magic trick. Logan felt like he'd have to ask her how she did it... "Charles said there was nothing he could do to help me get my memory back. They did tests on me, my biology suggests I'm over 40 years old but the professor thinks I could be even as old as 70 and that my Healing Factor is the main reason for my youthful vitality..." he said with a bit of a boyish grin.
"In exchange for a safe place to stay where I wont have to worry about hurting someone who might not deserve it, I help chuck out with his little operation that he's got brewing here."

"That's at least more interesting then mine. I was just offered a job as a teacher..." Roxy sighed before continuing "who knew kids would be such a pain..." Roxanne finished her beer before tossing it in the garbage on the other side of the room. "Two points!" she exclaimed, arms in the air and all. It was weird not being angry at Logan. It didn't make sense for all their anger to just vanish. Deep down, Roxanne still wouldn't mind showing him his place, but maybe he was just one of those kind of guys who was ALWAYS cocky. Then again, maybe he didn't used to be cocky....wishful thinking on Roxannes part.
"Well, I know why MY laundry isn't done, but it looks like we both came down here with all our clothes." she said motioning to their bags of laundry (the majority of them hers, but Logan was a man of few necessities.) "Just Lazy or no time?" she asked, lying down in the air, levitating herself. It wasn't really to show off, more so to relax. IT was kind of like a sweet release to use her powers.

"I don't know about you, but laundry ain't on my to do list." he said looking to her. "If it were up to me I'd say we should just throw the little $#!@$ into shifts and make them do the laundry as opposed to the 'every man for themselves' kind of system we got going right now." She was pretty casual about using her powers, a lot more casual than Logan but her powers appeared a bit more causal to boot.
"I am usually in the danger room by 5:30, some mornings Summers is up to join me and the odd students here and there have been getting around to it too. 9:00 is, as you know, the first training session I have of the day. Then you have yours in the afternoon. Some students actually use the room of their own free time, it amazes me." he said looking to them. "I've been teaching my classes basic martial arts, if we're going to be throwing them out there. I want them to be capable of defending themselves, you know?"
"So no, laundry aint usually on the forefront of my mind. Tell you the truth it kind of gives me the creeps being couped up in this big house all the time. If it were up to me i'd be out on by bike on the open road. Could never afford it but it'd be just as peaceful for everyone if I could just leave everybody alone." And it was on this theory that Logan had a bit of a 'do-onto-others' mindset. Thinking his ignorance would be blissfully reciprocated.

"I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I don't think you being gone would be best for everyone." she said, rolling over so her stomach was facing the ground, her arms crossed in front, holding her head up. "Yeah, there are dangers about you and having you around, but even some of the kids say that, while your training sessions are tough as shit, you're not as bad as others." She propped her head up on one hand, still levitating. "Not to mention, if Xavier wants you here and is more than aware of the risks, then you being gone isn't for the best."
"Personally, you saying that being gone would be best for everyone or that it would be more peaceful sounds like you're trying to make yourself out to be the hero, when really it's a rather selfish statement." she said, rather bluntly. As much as she hated to admit it, Logan was probably there for a good reason. Protection. Xavier knew that Logan would protect this place, if it ever came down to it.

"You're misunderstanding xavier and I's agreement." he said looking to her. "You don't got my problems girlie, don't act like you know me. I can come and go as I please, while I'm here. I do my thing." he said looking to her. He didn't try to come off with overbearing bravado or machismo but he was just being forward about how it is. "Sometimes I need to get away from here, and I go." he said looking to her. "I worry about these kids more than you'd ever think I probably could."
"But I've been thinking, we're both going pretty hard on those kids right?" he said looking to her for a moment. "Why don't we take em out over the mountains. Maybe for a week. Beast would probably love to come and I'm sure a lot of the students would want to go as well..."
"So what do you think?"

As much as Roxanne wanted to go off on how overbearing Logan was being about his deal with Xavier and how much he cared for the kids, she bit her tongue. Literally. It made her eyes water and kept her from being able to speak properly, or at all for that matter. When he quickly changed the subject to them spending time with the kids and other teachers on a field trip of sorts, Roxy decided it best to let his previous statements go. He must have not meant them to be offensive or he would have been expecting her to retailiate in some way.
"You sure Hank would wanna go without Terry? I swear they both doodle pictures of each other like love struck teens. It's sickening sometimes." she said, lowering her levitation to a feet feet off the ground, rather than the 5-6 feet she had been holding it at. "I mean, they'd either be blushing at each other the whole time, avoiding each other the whole time BECAUSE they are blushing, or not leaving their cabin or tent at all." she added, listing the possibilities off while counting on her fingers.
"But, it still sounds like a fun idea. Get these kids into nature and show them what a REAL good time is." she said, smiling, remembering the camping trips she went on with her father. They were few and far between but they were great.

"Hank can bring his love bird along." Logan said as he finished his beer, the dull clunk of the empty can hitting the washing machine as Logan set the drink down. "It's just a good opportunity for those kids to get some fresh air, learn a few things. Experience something real instead of something that's just a holographic simulation. Realistic enough even to fool my senses, sure... but its not the same."
Logan looked at Roxy for a moment, thinking about Hank and Terry. Would they be all over each other? Logan always kind of thought of Hank as a professional and he figured he wouldn't have to tell the fuzz ball to get his act together. If he'd even allow to present himself in such a way to begin with. "I'll drop the idea by the professor next time I talk to him. I'll talk to Slim too, see if he can't pick a group of student's he figures could benefit from this. He knows all of those kids way better than I do." Logan was speaking from a stand point where, Logan would be able to judge their abilities sure. Scott would know if they would want to go, and if they'd be able to benefit from such a trip. Logan lived under assumptions that his classes made everyone better, even himself.
"Teach those kids to make shelter out of the woods, use the natural resources for survival, I think it'd be a lot of fun if we made it difficult. Not some run of the mill camping trip."

"Teach those kids to make shelter out of the woods, use the natural resources for survival, I think it'd be a lot of fun if we made it difficult. Not some run of the mill camping trip."
"Well...there's that and maybe team work as well." Roxanne added. "I realize there are a lot of students who either don't get along with others, or just don't work well on a team." Roxanne finally landed, both feet on the ground and resting her hands on her hips. "These kind of trips can get the loners more used to having to work with others, or even protecting the younger students." she began, more so talking to herself out loud, but really expecting Logan to chime in at some point. He can't go for too long without hearing his own voice.
Roxanne propped herself back onto the now warm dryer, facing Logan. "But how much can you take?" she asked, thinking about how many kids she could handle at once, but it didn't especially click in her head that she hadn't asked an understandable question. It really depends on which kids. "Kids can be a handful, I guess I could handle around 8 at a time....maybe more." she said, trailing off as she crossed her legs and brought her hand to her face, propping her chin up.

Logan knew how much things could fall apart if every part of the team wasn't thinking along the same lines. A lot of these kids had issues with each other they have had yet to resolve living with eachother as they have had here at the Xavier Institute. Wolverine didn't always see eye to eye with Cyclops but he trusted the teen's instinct. Some times he was a sniveling teenager that Logan couldn't stand to work with and othertimes he showed flashes of being a brilliant leader.
"Yeah, teamwork exersize is a good idea but maybe I'll leave you in charge of that..." Logan was always more of a go-at-it-alone kind of player. Logan wondered the levity of her question, how many kids could they handle. "Depends on the group. I say between the two of us if we took a group of maybe 8-12 students? Bring Cyke along and he could keep an eye on some of them. Get a good number of students out of this box and into some adventure."
"I am just looking forward to teaching these kids something outside of that metal dome."

"Yeah, teamwork exersize is a good idea but maybe I'll leave you in charge of that..."
"Yeah, me doing it alone will show the kids about team work..." Roxanne mumbled to herself. If he wanted to teach the kids something about survival, then that consists of doing things you might not always want to do, which for Logan would be working on a team. At least that's what Roxanne thought. She never claimed to know him, or even understand him. Hell, she never claimed to LIKE the guy but she assumed her guess was dead on. Bring Cyke along and he could keep an eye on some of them. "Yeah...Cyclops can keep AN eye on them..." Roxanne scoffed before laughing at her own joke, more so a giggle than a burst of laughter.
"That kid has some serious shades of brown on his nose." she added. "Is he just an overachiever or what? I mean, he's a natural leader, there is no DOUBT in my mind about that. But he just seems to have his panties in a twist, ya know?" she said, asking Logan mostly because he dealt with Scott more than she did. The more she thought about it, it seemed like her afternoon class was full of whiners and Logan's morning class had the people who actually WANTED to learn something about fighting.
Roxanne raised her head looking to the clock above the doorway. "Man, I have a flight class in an hour...." she mumbled, thinking to herself how much longer her laundry would take. That flight class was cutting into laundry time. Not that she cared much, laundry was so boring. Especially when playing nice with Logan. They had come to a truce, but there was still something about him that got her riled up inside. Roxanne assumed it to be his arrogance and just ignored it.
