Inez checked her reflection in the mirror one last time. She pulled the white tank top she was wearing, that had 'Cowgirl' emblazoned across the chest, up just a smidgen and adjusted the cowboy hat that sat perched on her head. Satisfied she left the bathroom and headed for the main entryway where everyone would be joining her. She'd been at the Mansion now for nearly a week and while there was certainly more than enough here at this place for mutants to keep anyone entertained that didn't mean that it wasn't nice to get out and see the town from time to time, visiting Bayville or even New York since it was so close. To that end, Inez had declared a girl's night out on the town and invited all of the female denizens of the Mansion to join her, even Terry and Roxanne though Inez was pretty sure that the girls didn't need chaperones.
Standing at the foot of the stairs the Texan tapped her foot, feeling slightly impatient. It wasn't necessarily that anyone was late, per se. But, now that Inez was ready time was being needlessly wasted in her opinion. Pulling her keys from her purse, Inez twirled them idly around her finger as she waited for everyone to show up. A part of her was hoping some of the boys would show up and want to tag along so she could tell them no. "No boys tonight," she muttered under her breath. "This is a girl's night out."

Ali had heard the rumblings around the mansion that a girl's night out was taking place later on, and given that Lila was puking her guts up because of bad Chinese food, yet insisting that Ali didn't have to stick around and look after her, she had decided to to see if she could tag along.
So, she strapped on an old pair of boots, tatty denim shorts that had, a long, long time ago, been jeans, a pair of torn tights in black, a 'Frankie Says Relax' shirt, and a black worker's shirt over that, plus her usual round of bracelets and beads. It wasn't really designed to attract guys, it was just comfortable to wear. Damned comfortable.
Ready at last, she slid down the stair rail, a grin on her face as she gave Inez a brief wave. "Hey," she greeted, landing on her feet with a 'thump' before the other woman. "Lila can't make it - Bad Chinese food,"
She couldn't help but feel a little bad, looking at Inez. The woman was perfectly endowed and utterly gorgeous, the kind of woman most men went nuts for, whereas Ali was the definition of flatchested and was the kind of woman gutter-living freaks went nuts for...

OOC - Would Kitty be too young to go out with you guys? I'm assuming you're hitting a club or something. If so, okay. If not, I'll throw Kitty in here anyway, I just felt the need to ask first.

Leslie fixed her hair clip in place, brushing her orangey-red bangs out of her face. She pulled on her multi-colored arm warmers, the varying sizes and shades clashing with the rest of her outfit. Looking down, she reviewed her outfit: the high-necked flower shirt her mother had given her for Christmas one year covered by a V-neck pink tanktop and light beige cotton capris. She strapped on a comfortable, if not somewhat ratty pair of tennis shoes, then headed down to the front door.
She couldn't help but be excited - it was her first big outing with everyone as a group! She wasn't even sure where they were going, but it didn't matter. What did matter was the fact that she felt like she was part of something, part of a family again. It had been a few years since she had that feeling what with the death of her father and the estrangement of her mother. She dearly missed her grandfather - his letter should be coming in soon - but this gave her a chance to create new relationships. New friends.
Descending the stairs, she saw Inez and Ali already waiting. Cartwheeling over to them, not so much for show but out of her never ending stream of energy, she laughed. "How many more are we waiting on? I'm ready to go!"

"Oh, we'll wait around a few more minutes and see if anyone else shows up," Inez replied, looking down slightly at the red-headed girl. She was the epitome of cute, and a bit immature most likely, but this was a girl's night out and all of the Mansion's female population had been invited. Of course, who showed up would determine where the girls went for their night of fun, and given the minor that would mean the mall and then maybe somewhere to eat other than the mall depending on what everyone else was hungry for. "It's too bad that Lila won't be able to make it though."

Kitty was heard from at least the end of the hall. Pulling her sweater over top of her tank top, she came around the corner before the large doorway, pulling her coat on over her sweater. "Never fear, Kitty Pryde is here!" she flashed an excited smile before pulling her own shoes on, making sure her laces were on properly as she didn't exactly feel like having them come undone or stepping on them or anything like that.
"Lila's not coming?" Kitty sounded saddened as she joined the group of girls. "So what is it just us then?" She said looking to her peers as she zipped up her coat half-way. "What's the plan, hitting the mall, chasing boys around? If we go to the arcade I want to set a new high-score on the D-D-R machine." Her eyes gleamed at the thought of showing her supremacy of the simplistic dance related video game.

OOC: A few hours late, my apologies. Now that there is a set group I'll be moving this story/plotline along more quickly.
"No, Lila's not coming with us, at least that's what Ali said," Inez replied to Kitty. The Texan glanced down at her watch and tapped her foot impatiently. She'd already waited around ten minutes longer than when she'd told everyone to be downstairs and ready to go if they were going. Inez stretched her arms out above her head and glanced back up the stairs and listened to see if she could hear anything.
After a few seconds Inez lowered her arms and glanced around the assembled group of girls. "Well ladies, it looks like we four are the only ones." Inez turned and began leading the way through the Mansion in the direction of the garage where she had her jeep. Leslie, Kitty, and Ali would all be able to fit comfortably in the jeep and she could drive since it was, after all, her vehicle. "We have one vote to go to the mall, anyone not want to do that," the Texan asked as she moved down the stairs and into the garage area, moving towards her jeep. "Me, I'm game for anything."

((It's Leslie, not Lila - as Lila is not coming.))
Leslie looked at the other girls assembled, shrugging. "I agree with Inez. Besides, who doesn't love going to Claire's? They've got the cutest hair accessories," she absently fingered her hair clips, "and they've got a sale right now - buy one, get a second half-off!" She cheerily smiled at everyone, realizing in the back of her mind that not everyone shared the same enthusiasm for shiny hair pieces as she did. And probably not for the mall either. However, she was determined not to let this fact get her down. She was hanging out with the girls - part of something - and no matter what, it was going to be fun!

Kitty didn't love going to Claire's, but that was beside the point. Kitty would soon as well just spend all her time in the mall in the music store and the store with all the video games. She wasn't about to veto the mall though. She was sure she'd be in the minority with that and Kitty wasn't about to start a quabble over nothing. "Maybe we could see a movie at the mall, there's bound to be something we can agree on watching." She thought about it for a moment. "What abuot I Am Legend, that new Will Smith movie..."
Kitty did find its post apocalyptic setting appealing, that aside however, she was out of suggestions. "Whatever we do, lets get something to eat. If my stomach like, gets any louder its going to register on the ricter scale."

"Oh, food is definitely on the to do list," Inez said as she appraoched her jeep and unlocked the vehicle. "Well ya'll, don't just stand there... get on in," the Texan continued, piling into the driver's seat and buckling her seatbelt. As the other girls slid in to the vehicle Inez pushed the key into the ignition and fired up the jeep. "Everybody buckle up and hang on! Yeehaw!" As the garage door opened the Texan gunned the engine and the jeep shot out of the garage and off down the driveway towards the street and from there into New York. "How does everybody feel about the mall and then food?"
